Q: Can I purchase on-line, by credit card?
A: Yes. We accept MasterCard, American Express, Visa and PayPal. All our credit card payment services are operated through PayPal.

Q. Do I need a PayPal account?
A: No. You can pay by credit card without creating or using a PayPal account. You will be given the option to create a PayPal account at the end of your payment. You can decline this offer.

Q: How do I purchase by email?
A: Send an email to the orders department detailing the tag(s) you wish to purchase and the address to which they are to be sent. Our orders personnel will be in touch to confirm your order and outline payment methods.

Q: How do I purchase by post?
A: If you are in a country served by ThePetTagStore then print the order form, fill in the details and place in an envelope with payment enclosed.

Q: How soon is my order dispatched?
A: For all email and postal orders, manufacture of your tag normally takes place within two days of your payment confirmation. Online orders are typically processed within 24 hours. Dispatch takes place immediately after the tag has been quality checked, usually on the day of manufacture.

Q. Can I correct an engraving error in my order?
A. If you email us very soon after you place your order, we may be able to adjust the engraving details before your selected tag is laser engraved. We cannot guarantee such corrections, but we will do our best.

Q. What guarantees do you offer?
A. Your statutory rights are protected with respect to the quality of manufacture and fitness for purpose. Our tags are designed for typical household pets. Note that hunting or working animals (and some active outdoor pets) will encounter more abrasive conditions (e.g. salt water) which can affect various metals. Even in such conditions, tests show that the laser engraving generally remains legible. We cannot, however, guarantee that the tag's pristine appearance will persist under all wear and tear conditions. If in doubt, please enquire by email before purchase.

Q: Can I purchase a blank (no engraving) tag?
A: Yes. Select a pet tag from our catalogue and fill in an order form. On the form, write BLANK for the engraving text. There is no discount for blank tags.

Q. Can I purchase a tag with no picture?
A. We will be offering picture-less tags soon.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: The price is indicated on the catalogue pages. Prices stated include all taxes, the cost of engraving, postage and packaging. There are no bulk discounts.

Q: What currencies do you accept?
A: Prices are given in Euro. We accept Euro cheques or bank drafts made out to "I.V.I.S". Customers outside the Euro zone who contact us by email will be considered on an individual basis, to facilitate an appropriate payment mechanism.

Q: Who is I.V.I.S.?
A: Irish Veterinary Identification Solutions, the company that operates ThePetTagStore. You will see this mentioned during the online payment process.

Q: To what countries do you deliver?
A: Currently we deliver to Ireland and the UK. An international service will be offered soon. We may consider the occasional international order if you contact us by email.

Q: Do you really use a high-powered laser?
A: Yes, we do. Our tags are not made by the old-fashioned method of scratching the surface. We use a high-powered laser to vapourise the metal of the tag, leaving a lasting impression. The residue of the engraving is generally black, which is how you will see the text at first. This residue will wipe off in time, revealing the laser etched metal beneath.
